Education Materials
Mental health is a complex topic. SPN Survivors has created several custom resources in a effort to simplify the information so it is less overwhelming and easier to understand. These materials are available to schools, mental health professionals, parents and the community.
Resource Cards
Shining a spotlight on the many organizations available to help support you and your mental health journey.

- Available in packs of 25 for Wayne County, Oakland County, Lansing Tri-County Area, and Nationally.
- They have been used in schools, churches, business lobbies and by first responders and other nonprofits since 2019.
- To date, we have handed out over 5,000 resource cards across the community.
Support Materials
We offer Battle Buddies and Comfort Kits to support kids, teens and young adults during a difficult time.
In the military, the term Battle Buddy is used to describe:
- Your battlefield partner or team mate with whom you accomplish a common mission.
- The person who is watching your back when in a combat zone while you are watching their back.
- Some one you trust with your life.
- A good friend.

Battle Buddies: We can all benefit from having a Battle Buddy in our lives. Someone we can partner with to help us fight our personal battles. Our faith, family and friends fill that role as much as possible but sometimes we need something tangible. A visual cue we can focus on to encourage us, bring a smile to our face, and remind us to Always Keep Fighting for better days ahead. That tangible item can be a photo, a letter from a loved one, a special gift or souvenir, or one of our cute and cuddly Battle Buddies.
These seven specially chosen stuffed animals were introduced in 2015 and are small enough to accompany you anywhere you need some extra support to help you through a difficult day. They have been used in schools and hospitals with great success and we love to hear those stories!
Comfort Kits: These include a Battle Buddy, mental health coloring book, and other items that engage and equip youth (in hospitals, schools or counseling offices) with encouragement, healthy coping skills and resources.
